Every venue on Moodap has its own page. Not a card in a list. A full, dedicated profile page with everything you’d want to know before walking in the door.
That’s 25,000+ pages. Built programmatically. Each one unique.
This was one of the hardest parts of the build.
Not hard technically — generating pages from data is well-understood. Hard because every page needs to be useful. A page with just a name and address is worthless. That’s what you get from a Google Maps listing. We needed each profile to tell you something Google doesn’t.
Here’s what a Moodap venue profile includes:
The basics: Name, address, neighborhood, category, hours, contact info. The table stakes. But organized clearly, mobile-first, scannable in seconds.
Mood and vibe tags: Is this place romantic? High-energy? Chill? Good for groups? Good for solo? This is the data that the matching engine uses, now visible on the page so you can evaluate it yourself.
Best-for scenarios: "Best for: first dates, wine lovers, late-night conversations." These aren’t generic tags. They’re specific use cases based on the venue’s vibe profile. If a place is genuinely great for a first date, we say so.
Insider tips: The stuff you can’t find anywhere else. The best seat. The off-menu drink. The quiet back room. The bartender who’s been there for 15 years. Not every venue has these yet — they’re the hardest data to get — but the ones that do are gold.
Neighborhood context: Every venue page links to its neighborhood page, showing what else is nearby. Because a great venue in a neighborhood you know nothing about is only half the story.
The SEO implications are massive. Each of these 25,000+ pages is a unique URL that Google can index. When someone searches "quiet cocktail bar West Village," we have a page for that specific venue with exactly that information. When someone searches "late night food Lower East Side," we have pages for those venues too.
But we want to be honest: not every venue page is great yet. Some have thin data. Some are missing hours or descriptions. This is a work in progress. The goal is that over time — through business owner claims, user contributions, and our own research — every single one of these 25,000+ pages becomes the definitive resource for that venue.
Not the most popular page. Not the highest-ranked page. The most useful page.
We’re building a living directory of Manhattan. And it starts with giving every business, no matter how small, a page worth visiting.
