The gallery's ever-changing collection includes a range of periods and subject matter, including paintings by the French and American Impressionists; Pre-Raphaelites; Hudson River School; Marine paintings by British and Scandinavian artists; Sporting art by British and American painters including racing and hunting subjects; landscapes by Corot and his followers in Barbizon; exquisite views of Italy and Spain; traditional 19th-century sculpture by Barye, Mêne and others; and a substantial selection of Orientalist paintings by artists such as Gérôme, Weeks, and Bridgman.
