How we counted

  • Every active, open listing in Manhattan on Moodap on November 6, 2026: 21,366 places. Places that have closed, for good or for now, are left out.
  • Opening hours come from each place's listing on Moodap. The hours figures count only the 16,397 places whose hours we can read for a full week, so partial listings don't skew them.
  • "Open past 2 AM" leaves out places listed as open 24 hours, since some of those listings are wrong. The real late-night count may be a little higher.
  • Happy hour times are the ones places post themselves. Hours and deals change, so check a place's page before you go.
